NIGERIA 100TPH TANTALUM-NIOBIUM ORE PROCESSING PLANT

Fangcheng Mining Equipment Manufacturing Company engineered and delivered a full-scale 100TPH tantalum-niobium (Ta-Nb) ore beneficiation plant in Nigeria.
This plant is specifically designed for alluvial and weathered pegmatite-type Ta-Nb ores, featuring complex gangue and fine particle distribution.
The solution focuses on gravity separation for its eco-friendly, chemical-free operation while achieving high recovery efficiency.

Solutions & Process
SOLUTIONS & PROCESS
Fangcheng tailored the plant layout based on Nigeria’s ore features and site conditions, ensuring stable processing of fine and weathered Ta-Nb ores with minimal water consumption.

1.Feeding & Screening System

Raw material (<30 mm) is loaded into a heavy-duty vibrating feeder that delivers material evenly to a double-layer vibrating screen.
>30 mm oversize rocks are removed as waste.
0–30 mm fraction is classified into two sizes:
0–2 mm, fine particles for spiral separation.
2–30 mm, treated as coarse tailings or returned to re-crushing.

2.Primary Gravity Separation

Fine fraction is pumped to a multi-stage spiral chute group to pre-concentrate the heavier Ta-Nb minerals. Spiral chutes provide a continuous, high-throughput separation with low operating costs.
Centrifugal & Shaking Table Refinement
Centrifugal concentrators further upgrade the pre-concentrated ore, capturing ultrafine Ta-Nb particles missed by spirals.
Shaking tables are then used to refine the concentrates and remove remaining gangue minerals, boosting final concentrate grade.

3.Dewatering & Collection

The final Ta-Nb concentrate is passed through a dewatering screen to remove moisture before being collected in the concentrate tank for packaging and export.
