The project targets oxidized hematite ore with complex gangue and clay contamination, aiming to produce high-grade iron concentrate (Fe ≥ 60%) through washing, magnetic separation, and gravity separation methods.

Solutions & Process
SOLUTIONS & PROCESS
Fangcheng’s professional design team tailored this solution based on the ore’s high clay content and low iron liberation at coarse sizes. A combination of magnetic separation and gravity concentration was proposed after laboratory mineral testing.

1.Feeding & Washing

Dump trucks deliver <300mm raw ore into a grizzly hopper + vibrating feeder to eliminate oversized waste and feed material evenly into a crusher. This crushers breaks the maerials, applies water and mechanical force to remove sticky clay and liberate iron particles.

2.Screening & Classification

Material from the cruhser flows into a vibrating screen, which separates three size fractions:
0–2mm → Sent to magnetic and centrifugal separators
2–20mm → Fed into magnetic separator, then to jigger
>20mm → Sent to waste or stockpile

3.Magnetic Separation

To recover weakly magnetic hematite, the screened 0–20mm fractions pass through a high-intensity magnetic separator, improving the overall recovery rate of iron-bearing minerals before gravity separation.

4.Gravity Separation

Saw-tooth jiggers recover coarse iron from the 2–20mm stream
Spiral chutes handle 0–2mm slurry post-magnetic separation
Shaking tables refine the final concentrate for higher iron grade
This dual-recovery design ensures minimal iron loss and higher purity concentrate.

5.Dewatering & Concentrate Handling

Final iron concentrates are dewatered by a high-frequency dewatering screen and stored. Tailings are directed to the tailing pond to meet environmental standards.
