BRAZIL 500TPD LEPIDOLITE FLOTATION PROCESS PLANT

Fangcheng delivered a fully customized 500TPD flotation processing plant to a Brazilian lithium miner.
This project focuses on lepidolite (a lithium-bearing mica), providing an efficient, scalable solution for producing battery-grade lithium concentrate.
The plant integrates advanced crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, and dehydration systems, specifically designed to treat lepidolite ores with fine particle distribution and clay gangue.

SOLUTIONS & PROCESS
Fangcheng designed this system for high recovery, stable performance, and automation-ready operation, tailored to the geological conditions of lithium-bearing pegmatites in Brazil.

1.Crushing & Screening System

Raw ore (<300 mm) is first fed into a hopper + vibration feeder, ensuring steady and automatic flow into the primary jaw crusher.
Coarse material is crushed, then passed into the fine jaw crusher for secondary reduction.
The crushed output goes to a vibrating screen, which classifies particles:
>20 mm is returned to the fine crusher.
0–20 mm proceeds to the storage bin.

2.Grinding & Classification System

A storage bin with an electromagnetic feeder delivers material evenly into a ball mill for grinding to 0–1 mm.
A spiral classifier works alongside the ball mill, separating qualified slurry (0–0.074 mm) for downstream flotation.

3.Flotatioin System

The slurry pump transfers the fine ore slurry to the flotation machine group, where lepidolite is selectively floated using collectors and regulators.
High-grade lepidolite froth is skimmed and directed to the next stage.

4.Concentrate Thickening & Drying

The lepidolite concentrate enters a high-efficiency thickener, followed by a disc vacuum filter, which produces dry, transportable lithium concentrate ready for refining.
