Working Principle
The jig concentrator is an energy-efficient gravity separation device developed and improved on the basis of traditional jigger according to the theoretical stratification of jig bed layers.
Conventional jigger is typically driven by circular eccentricity, generating a sinusoidal jigging pulsation curve.
Since the rising and falling water flow velocities and their duration are nearly equal, this limits the loosening of the jig bed and the density-based stratification of mineral particles, ultimately affecting the separation efficiency and recovery rate of equipment.
The newly designed jig concentrator features a pulsation curve with a sawtooth waveform, where the rising water flow is fast er than the falling water flow—rising time is shorter, and falling time is longer. This improvement over the traditional sinusoidal pulsation curve eliminates the issue of equal rise and fall durations, enhancing the looseness of the bed, reducing suction effects, and allowing heavy mineral particles to fully settle. As a result, the separation efficiency and recovery rate are significantly improved.
Compared to traditional sinusoidal jigger, the new jigger concentrator achieves the following recovery improvements: Sn +3.01%, W +5.5%, Pb +1.63%, Zn +2.04%. Additionally, it reduces water consumption by 30%-40%, occupies 1/3 less floor space, and features an adjustable stroke. The electromagnetic motor drive enables stepless adjustment of the jigging frequency. With performance reaching advanced domestic standards, it is one of the most efficient and energy-saving gravity separation devices available today.

FAQ
Q: What minerals suit jig concentrators best?
A: Ideal for 2-30mm heavy minerals (gold/tungsten/tin). 90%+ efficiency for coal gangue separation.
Q: How to optimize jig concentrator recovery?
A: ①Set stroke(10-25mm) ②Adjust frequency(40-60/min) ③Maintain bed depth(100-300mm) ④Clean screens regularly.
Q: Jig vs shaking table advantages?
A: 3-5x higher capacity, 40% less energy. Best for >2mm particles, but lower fine recovery.
